Mayday Parade

I interviewed Derek Sanders of Mayday Parade on Thursday for Black Velvet. After the interview I was about to take a couple of pix of him and put my tape recorders away (yep, I still use tape recorders!) and he noticed my ‘vegan’ badge on my backpack. “Are you vegan?” he asked. Turns out Derek is vegetarian and his mother is vegan. His bandmate Alex Garcia is also veggie. I’ll have to do an interview with them next time for SaveAScream.com

I gave Derek a Save A Scream Against All Animal Cruelty wristband (and a Black Velvet one) - and he let me take a pic of him with it on. He kept them on for the gig that night too. :-)
